Reaper Update Question!

After the reaper update the midi notes stopped playing a sound. I liked hearing the notes along with the stems for reference sake. Is there a way I can turn this on so the drawn notes can make a blip or something similar so I can reference to the stem ?

In Reaper, enable FX for the selected track and then add the ReaSynth VST to it. You can then configure which sound you want from the presets.

In theory, you could probably also use any DX or VST instrument for sound output.
