Ummm, what happens if you cancel your credit card? On my PS3 i am changing between Entropay card and a prepaid card all the time. Man MS's policy is stupid. Its all for them and **** all for the consumer.

It just sits there. I know, because I have two entries put in. I guess it stops people charging things, since it defaults to the first number, and you have to go through a few options to change it.

FYI, you can delete one credit card on xbox.com. I just think you have to put one in its place. Maybe so, maybe not. I know ive deleted one before.

Either xbox.com or billing.microsoft.com

I have modified my instructions post as you can see in the quote above. They are now EXACTLY the procedure that I went through.

Even though I didn't have a rough a time with this issue as a lot of you did, I just want to thank everyone a part of this forum for contributing to this thread. With no help on 'the other end' it's nice to see everyone put in their little bit of input that may have helped someone else solve this issue.

For those who are still having issues, keep plugging away at it...there is hope.

When I check my purchase history, the thing that comes up says "LEGO Rock Band Export Pack". I have nothing that says "license key". I have already used the code that came with my game. I put the code in and redeemed the DLC code thru the Xbox website and not the actual Xbox itself. Would that have caused the problem? Thanks to all for your help.

Both of the files you download have the same name in the Download History. If you only have the one, then that would be the smaller license key file, and not the actual songs file.

i had trouble getting my code from the insert to work it kept telling me it couldnt find the code but i kept at it and it finally gave me my code, but now i keep getting the error everyone else is having, i put it in an it says this entitles you to download (etc.) but i cant push the confirm or nothing then the error pops up , i hope this all works for everyone i just want me some final countdown, in rb2, its one of my fav songs

YES, you can remove your credit card information. NO, you do not have to put anything in its place. Just the other night I was like 50 points shy of a download and didn't want to go run out to the store. I popped onto Xbox.com, put my credit card info in, purchased 500 points, then immediately deleted the card information.

I'm now back to NO registered payment option on my account. Easy peasy. I don't think they will do it over the phone due to security reasons. You can easily do it on Xbox.com though, just click the "remove" button beside the payment option you want to remove.
