Figured i'd give it a shot before bed. Deleted/Redownloaded/Cleared Cache and still no dice.... Ugh.

Tried this morning. No dice. Cleared Cache, redownloaded keys; no dice.

Anyone got other ideas? Anything short of buying another copy, using another gamertag and spending 20 bucks on a points card.

I had the same problem. All keys entered properly and export key was downloaded. When I looked at free play my RB1 content was there but I still got the error code. The rest of the music store download section worked fine.

    Here's what I did,
I copied my Lrb files from the internal mem to my 120g hd. I deleted my cached files for LRB on both drives. Then started a game and went to freeplay to see if RB1 stuff was there. It will go through that long content cache save again (like it does when you first insert the disc.) and then the export part worked the first time I tried it again. This was after countless attempts to get it to work.
You may also want to make sure you have the 800 points bought beforehand.

I don't use a memory unit to house my save files, just my gamertag. I've deleted all my cache/settings for LRB except my game data. I've deleted the caches. I've redownloaded all my keys. I have 1650 points in my account. But i'll give it one more go. I mean, what's it hurt? Just seeing 800700e8 yet again.

But first I catch up on my tv shows <.< Atleast those won't let me down, heh. I'll let you know how it goes once i'm there.

I bought the game yesterday and received the same error that everyone here is getting. I tried every method posted here including Mfatman's method, all of which did not work. I tried the Mfatman method one more time but downloaded the Lego Rock Band Export Key to my memory card (which is where I store my gamertag) and went in to export the songs and the error was gone. I don't know if it will work for anyone else but its worth a shot.

I think that's where the problem lies. Your save files for the game, your id, and song downloads all need to be on the same drive.
That's essentially what I did by copying my stuff to the hard drive.

I've never had issues downloading before on XBox Live though. I've downloaded 300+ songs that way. I'll give that method a shot though. It can't hurt, what am I out? 20 seconds to move from MU to HDD?

Nope, that's not it. My profile and saved games are on my MU, and everything else (DLC, song caches, exports, audio/video files) are on my hard drive, and the export worked.

And once again, moving my profile from my MU to my HDD... nothing.

I'm seriously out of options now, I'd imagine.

When you did the move did you get the minute-two minute loading bar when the game first started back up?
I'd been working with this problem since Tuesday and this is what got it going, for me at least.

I've also never had trouble downloading from the music store either in game, or through the dashboard until this.
