I don't think it's that, since they have the phrase '...she loves Jesus...' in 'Free Fallin' ' So.... I think it's all just up for our speculation on how the filter works

On-disc songs definitely go by different rules than the imported DLC. The ESRB had to screen all the songs for the disc, but HMX had to screen the import songs themselves, and they likely opted to "play it safe" more on the import side.

But yeah, it's all speculation for us. We don't know who specifically is making these decisions, or what their criteria might be.

On a related note, did a song with the word "Goddamn" really make it onto the Family Friendly list? If so, that's a huuuge oversight no matter who's judging it.

Feels Like the First Time is also considered child-friendly, isn''t it?

    One man one man
    One bar one night
    One day hey hey
    Just gimme gimme gimme gimme
    Fried chicken

Though I'm pretty sure it means "bar" in the musical sense, the filter design would mean it's not a surprise if that got zapped for being an alcohol reference.

Somebody To Love I have no idea, other then the initial verse mentions die a little.

Because there's nothing wrong with drinking bread, apparently.

Isn't Take It On The Run about a guy catching or knowing about his girlfriend cheating on him?

It also mentions something about bed time clothes. I'm going to assume that caught the attention of the filter.

I'm amazed at the amount of songs that didn't make it through. Maybe they can have a cheat code awesomeness detection, that unlocks all the banned songs. Only 20 Rock Band 1 songs made it and way less than half of my dlc.

Ok, here's what they did. They put all of the songs in the game on pieces of paper and tacked them to a dart board. They then threw a hundred or so darts, and whichever songs got hit made it.
Even thought I'm pretty sure that's what HMX does for weekly DLC, so I doubt they would use that method more than once.

1000+ songs... Expert everything except keys or pro guitar/bass.

It's been a long run, but it's been fun.
