    Awesome News = The Results

Ok, a while back, I started a thread titled Awesome News!!!. It said that I was picked to play Ringo at our schools auction.

We were originally going to do five songs, but my principal said that he didn't like having all of the eights graders missing so much class time, so we were shortened to two songs, with the rest of the grade dancing to two more songs.

Ok, so here is a summary:

My class had to be there by seven o'clock(nighttime on the east coast of America) to eat.

I came at exactly seven, but I missed food. I also found out that another kid took my staff shirt instead of his.

So we started practicing down there, but me and my fellow Liverpudlians could not practice because the instruments were upstairs already.

Then the first shift of kids came down from their jobs and ate, so I just ate with them. The only food there was was hoagies, and I had never had a hoagie before last night, and I tried it, and it was good. It was an italian hoagie.

Then, it was my groups turn to have a shift working tables. My and my friend had to stand guard over these picture frames for no reason. It was fun, because two of my other friends were at a table right across from us, so we talked for the forty-five minutes we had to stand there.

My partner told me there was a Beatles album hanging in the bathroom, so I go in, and see that there is no Beatles album hanging there. They had other bands like The Who and Led Zeppelin, but no Beatles. Some people did have Beatles t-shirts on!

So, we finished our shift and we went back down to the cafeteria and we forced to sit there for a half an hour doing nothing. Then, we got changed.......

Me and my fellow Beatles had to dress like the young Beatles, you know, the jackets and ties and same haircut. We looked really cool.

Then, we went back up to the gym and got on stage very secretly, so no one could see us. Then, our principal came on and introduced us just like Ed Sullivan introduced The Beatles back in 1964.

The curtain opens and we start playing I Wanna Hold Your Hand. We sound great, the crowd noises are very loud, so I found out how they felt playing live. I am in the back on my teachers drumset, its not Black Oyster Pearl like Ringo's but it did have my Beatles kick scrim taped to the front, and it looked real.

Then we go straight into Come Together, and it was weird dressed as the young Beatles, playing a song off of Abbey Road.

So, we finished, and they closed the curtain and we took the instruments off of the stage as the other kids got on.

I forget the songs they danced to, so if I remember, ill edit the post.

Afterwards, my tacher said we all did great, even the dnacer people.

So, this was really fun, and I enjoyed it alot, and thanks for reading this overly long post

I wish my school was half as awesome as yours. So you guys actually sang and played the instruments? It wasn't like a lip-sync thing to the real song?

I wish my school did stuff like that. Sucks how you guys could only play five songs... what did it have anything to do with class time, though?
HMX, I love you. You introduced me to my favorite band, The Beatles. And now you're making a game for my first favorite, Green Day. Thank you so much

So what, does your principal know nothing about after-school activities? Other than that, that sounds extremely awesome.
