    What USB headset works?

Hi, I bought a USB headset so I can chat while playing some beatles. Anyway ps3 can detect it when I go under audio settings in the playstation menu and I set the input and output ect. However when I go online no one can hear me. Am I doing something wrong? I can't find anything in the beatles menu about it. The headset I bought is the ms lifechat 3000. Now if that headset doesn't work , then what are some headsets that do work?

    Any info is appreciated.

I use a Logitech USB Headset 250 for my PS3 so I can play drums while I sing. But people cannot hear you sing (probably a good thing for me...lolz) and you cannot voice chat. AFAIK, RB does not support voice chat.

Thanks for posting , what do you mean RB doesnt support chat? I heard numerous ppl chatting to me in the Beatles game but obviously I couldnt communicate with them other than typing and that is annoying.

I can't get voice chat to work with any of my RB games (only one I don't have is LEGO)...

Could be a setting issue. I know that RB 1,2, and AC/DC do not support in game chat for PS3. Since I could not figure out TB:RB, I assumed it was the same thing..... If you are in game, no chat....

From my experience , Im able to use voice chat with the game before the music starts. It's helpful when deciding which song the group wants to do next etc.
Im using a blue tooth headset though not usb.

I use a $20 usb headset from radio shack, with an extention cord-works great. U can't hear the singers, maybe that's a good thing. I did read something about singers holding a trigger button annoying other players. Maybe you can hear then? idk. I do know that in game chat DOES work, i hit mute because the drum tapping is annoying for my friends. Plus it's hard to hear anyway most of the time. I unmute between songs. Also, got a $5 usb keyboard, works much faster than using controller to type.

Rocketfish has some good USB headsets for cheap. I got two for less than the price of one bluetooth headset.

I'm thinking of getting the WIRED rocketfish headsets for the ps3. What do you hear in the earpiece? Chatting or the songs? Thanks!!

Do you have a microphone plugged in? If yes, this takes place of headset. Go to start, options, audio, and check volume level. Don't worry, they wont hear u sing once song starts but u can chat before and after song.
