Because this game was marketed for the specific purpose of being family friendly.

HMX wanted a game that parents could give to their kids that didn't have all the innapropriate songs playable.

Wasn't better to release a Mega Pop track pack instead of this unuseful and badly developed game??
1: I actually love the style of this game. While I will probably continue mainly using RB2 after my run of LRB, I like having it. It can make a party a little sillier and it is a good alternative for kids. Though I can't see how a kid would have this and not RB2 because you can't get lego with instruments....
2: Not problems yet, though it took a very long time for it to load my DLC the first time.
3: Err... Sucks to be them?

1 - I found the change of scenery kind of refreshing, and while a bit less customizable, some extra variety in character appearances nice too. There aren't massive pages of pages of writing on the DLC filters because everyone jumped the songs off LEGO into RB and tossed the cd in a dust bin either, I'm assuming.

2 - It did freeze once on me, after hours of play. In the rock den. But otherwise has been completely stable.

3 - Well, I have no idea, not being in EU or AUS,

As to the conclusion statement, the songs in the game don't really fit into any especial genre pack. While they're more mainstream than some things in other packs, they cover a fair gamut of genres (plus, in the North American market, all those brit alternative bands in the game are oddly out of place in the game as far as mainstream goes).

IMO, LEGO game = epic win. (Even LEGO: Indiana Jones, which should have been held off until it included all four movies.)

I'm actually happy that it didn't include the fourth movie. Now I can pretend it never really happened.

I'd tell you to grow up, but that's exactly why an Indiana Jones movie doesn't appeal to us now.

Actually, yes. Heavy metal songs about murder and death or rock songs directly about sex CAN be bad when played in front of a child.
