None of these songs are emo. AAR is poppy-rock and I'd call 30STM alt-metal.

I for one am very happy with the songs being released this week. This is why I love Rock Band (well, one of the reasons) - variety in music. If I wanted all hard/metal I'd stick with the GH series.
