I dont know what LBR is but Lego Rockband is great.

the game is hit or miss really. If you look at the setlist and like at least 30-40% of the setlist and like the more kiddy look and feel of the game then it's a great game. It's even better if you own a console which can export(xbox or ps3) so that once you get bored or finish the game you can export them into RB2 and play them online or mixed with your other songs
If you don't like many of the songs or dont plan to export then maybe its better as a rental first
