DLC Battle: November 2007 vs. November 2008 vs. November 2009

All three years have there strengths. '07 has some absolutely classic packs for me (The Police, Bowie, QotSA) plus the singles, while the covers I bought, still get played often (particularly Fortunate Son). '08 has perhaps my favourite left-field pack of all time (Mission of Burma), plus some other solid. This year has a heap of stuff I've bought and can see getting plenty of plays (Bleach Pack, White Stripes, Tom Petty etc.)

I'll give it to '07, because even though I bought more tracks this year, I like the music from that month more. So, my rankings would be '07 > '09 > '08.

I gotta go with '09 just for the first week. I really didn't like anything else this month this year, but I've been waiting for that Foo Fighters pack for a while, and Nirvana is Nirvana.

2007 and 2009 are the big fighters. I'd give a slight edge to 2009 because while 2007 had...METALLICA, 2009 had TCV, Foos and Nirvana.

But then again, the QOTSA pack was 2007 too...

IDK, it's a tie.

Bleach wins, but if it wasn't there I'd go 08, 07, 09

the AFI selection sucked

and 08 just added so many songs, 07 has some real quality though so the two would be neck and neck if not for Bleach

I honestly say '09 though... I loved every single week. And most of the '08 stuff I've gotten in the last couple of months, actually, lol. Still great stuff every year though.

This is a particularly hard one for me as well.

Last year we saw my 2nd favorite band released in the free 20 pack as well as one of my all time favorite songs, Mr. Brightside.

But 09 had AFI, Tom Petty, old Nirvana & those coveted Foo songs we all wanted so bad!

07 had Metallica which was awesome as well as Bowie, Wolfmother, QoTSA, The Police & more, but in the end 07 wasn't my fave by a long shot, & some is to do with the covers.

In the end I'm gonna have to go with 08.

'07's awesome of Metallica is partially blunted by the cover-tastic song packs elsewhere.

I didn't much like most of the material from '08.
