I spent a lot of time in the vocal trainer with the guide pitch on.
Sometimes there's this tiny "mistake" you're making, but it costs you your Fab rating.

What phrases do you have the most trouble with? For me it always was "you may be a lover but you ain't no dancer" parts.

Like learning a lot of things, it's a matter of repetition. On this particular song, it might be easiest to learn the notes before trying to sound exactly like Paul, so don't be afraid to use the vocal trainer. I know, screaming like Paul is the best part - but like Mr. Miyagi says you have to learn to walk before you can run.

One nice thing about Helter Skelter is once you learn to hit all the phrases, and you learn the right Beatlemania activation points, it's fairly easy to get the optimal score (166,000) singing solo vocals - it's a nice, round number. At this time, 6 people on Wii, 13 people on PS3, and 28 people on the Xbox360 have reached that exact score.

Listen to it in the vocal trainer with the guide pitch on over and over. Then sing along and see how you do. Just keep engraving it into your brain and you'll eventually 98/99 or even 100% that godforsaken song.

A day at the most, I think.
Well, it took me about a day of practice to finally get it right.
Just practice as much as you can. And I'm usually against it, but, just going "nanana" instead of the lyrics also helps a bit to get the right pitch. Cos then you can fully focus on the pitch and don't have to read, process and sing the lyrics.
