Rate the Albums in Any Discography!

    OK. Rank it like this:

Masterpiece - No bad tracks, personal significance, can be played extensively and not lose its charm. Rare.
Great - No bad tracks, universally acclaimed, personal significance, can be played four or five times without slowing down.
Good - One or two average-bad tracks, well-liked, personal significance, can be played one or two times with enjoyment.
Average - Mediocre release that appeals rarely (either in comparison to other albums in discography or in general - your call). Can be played once and lead to mild enrichment.
Bad - Bad release not worth the first listen.
Terribad - To be actively shunned. Rare.

    R.E.M.

    1) New Adventures In Hi-Fi
    3) Lifes Rich Pageant
    3) Murmur
    4) Reckoning
    5) Document
    6) Green
    7) Out Of Time
    8) Automatic For The People
    9) Monster
    10) Fables Of The Reconstruction
    11) Accelerate
    12) Up
    13) Reveal
    14) Around The Sun

That's not a really set list for me. The top 3 almost never changes, and the bottom 3 rarely changes (although occasionally I rate Up higher), but the middle is pretty fluid.

Would you pay for music by Beck?
    Maybe.
What if you heard he owned a plane made of gold?
    Sure.
Good, because he needs the money.

    Talking Heads

    1) Remain In Light
    2) Fear Of Music
    3) More Songs About Buildings And Food
    4) Little Creatures
    5) 77
    6) Speaking In Tongues
    7) Naked
    8) True Stories

Since we are sticking to strictly studio albums, I'll note that I would probably rate Stop Making Sense and The Name Of This Band Is Talking Heads #1 and #3 respectively

That is a lot more concrete than my R.E.M. list. Remain In Light is such a long way ahead in terms of favourite studio album. I might jiggle around 4-6, depending on my mood, but that would be order 99% of the time.

That list changes all the time. That would probably be completely different if I did that in a weeks time.
