The nine social structure alignments? They basically outline the behavior of human beings based on their actions and goals: http://http://easydamus.com/alignment.html
I had to read up on this as my friend is making some sort of D&D game but with Adventure Time. There's even a test for your character so long as you answer the way he or she would. I got a Neutral Good, which matches for my idea of a noble thief. Generally follows the law unless breaking it would result in more good, say, stealing from a rich miser to help feed a starving family.
In the case of Paragon Vs Renegade, Paragon is a Law Abiding officer while Renegade is a rebel without concern for law, but they still have a good cause.

I'm getting the PS3 Trilogy for Xmas. I played a bit of the first Mass Effect a couple years ago but didn't really get into it. With all the positive reviews the sequels have gotten I figured I'd give it another shot with this collection.
So far I've seen conflicting reports as to the quality of the original Mass Effect on PS3. The developers say the quality is improved:
but IGN tweeted the following:“We got some huge gains in performance,” explained Warden, “especially with regard to texture popping, which has been dramatically improved – yet we were still able to maintain the classic look and feel of the introduction to the Mass Effect universe.”
There's really not a lot of information out there right now... does anyone here have it?.. thoughts if you do?It's totally the same for the most part, but there is some strangeness….long loading times, severe texture pop-in at times, and I had this one time where the framerate dropped so badly that I had to restart.

I never understood why elevators are so reviled. I like the little chitchats your squadmates have when you're riding in one. The reviewer is quite right that a reload after death takes forever and a day.
I think elevators were annoying because gamers were told "seamless" gameplay, and while semantically it's true you can still see the man behind the curtains stalling you. I had no problem with them, but I also didn't mind that people complaining about them brought about three billion elevator gags in future games.

DLC on DLCQuickPlay.com. Gamertag is the same as my Forum name. Hit me up if you wanna play!
I like how in the Leviathan DLC, EDI refers to a video game forum where people describe a particular enemy as "overpowered", because I know it was a shout out to the whiners on the Mass Effect forum.
So what's everybody expecting from the upcoming DLC? There's going to be one more 'major' singleplayer DLC (maybe there'll also be some more alternate appearance packs and weapons packs, but I'm not really counting those). Word is it's "all hands on deck" in terms of writers being involved. Seth Green (Joker), Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan), and Kim Brooks (Ashley) have all tweeted that they've recorded new lines for it, and composer Sam Hulick (who worked on each of the first two core games and the Bring Down the Sky expansion to ME1) has written new pieces for it.
I'm hoping it'll more directly relate to the core ME3 story. I liked the Omega DLC, but it was pretty parallel (read: separate) to the actual storyline. You miss nothing by not playing it. Leviathan was a little more plot-intensive, but still not what I would really call an extension on the main storyline, just an expansion to it. It'd be nice to get something that isn't strictly parallel to the campaign.
Aaaand goodness knows there'll be tons more multiplayer DLC's. Whatever as far as that's concerned.
I don't even have to read reviews of the DLC to know I'll buy and play it immediately after it comes out.
Same for me, probably. I'm still really skeptical of any future Bioware franchises, but in for a penny in for a pound as far as ME is concerned.
