I understand this mentality but it always makes me think back to getting the self-titled album by The Cars. If we had just gotten a greatest hits pack from them I still wouldn't have my all-time favorite song by The Cars: "All Mixed Up". And I'm such a huge fan of Journey that I'm certainly more partial to full albums instead of greatest hits so that I can get all the songs I love.
Stone In Love - Journey
Rose of the Devil's Garden - Tiger Army
Don't Change - INXS
Highway Song - Blackfoot
Tonight She Comes - The Cars
I'm a pretty casual Journey fan, and if we were to get full album DLC, I probably wouldn't look much past the songs I knew, but you have given me something to think about. If we were to get a greatest hits package from a given artist, would there be less likelihood we'd receive full albums later on? For instance, I can't see us getting any full album DLC for Iron Maiden now that we've got a "best of" type package. You'd think the next time HMX gives us more Iron Maiden it would just be another pack of singles.
On the flip side, if we were to receive Escape as full album DLC, is it more likely that we would continue to get singles from Journey?
