Transferring DLC

So for the past few months I've been playing TB:RB on my roommate's PS3 and, well, what can I say, it's been nothing short of astounding. We bought Abbey Road and Pepper as DLC on their release days, so they're on his PS3. I finally decided to buy my own PS3 today (the copy of Beatles Rock Band is something I bought though) for when I move out of the apartment and we've been trying to transfer the DLC. We thought that if we had him log in on my new PS3 and use his account on Beatles Rock Band it would transfer the songs onto my hard drive, but for some reason my system won't even let him log on. Is there some way to transfer DLC or will I have to re-purchase the albums?

You'll have to purchase the DLC on your own account.

Interesting. My roommate and I could've sworn that, when we downloaded Pepper, there was some sort of info that said DLC could be played on up to 3 or 5 separate machines like with iTunes downloads. Oh well, guess we must've just misread it. Time to go buy Pepper and Abbey Road!

Your roommate should be able to log in on your PS3, go to the Playstation Store, go to his Downloads List, and then redownload the DLC on to your new PS3.

so let me get this straight as my PS3 has just died! Any DLC I've bought isn't stored on my PS3 but is held on my PSN account? Thus when I eventually can get a new PS3 I should be able to get the DLC on my new one?

DLC is saved to the HDD. You can re-download your PSN purchases once you get your new PS3. XMB >> Account Setting >> Transaction History >> Download List

And to the OP: You're basically asking how to share DLC, which is a no-no around here. Expect this to get locked.

What the guy above me said. Just buy your own copies of the DLC and give the nice Harmonix folks something back for their time and effort.
