Joy Division's real quality is their importance and relevance to music rather than the music quality, though I do love the music too.

Oh believe me, I still acknowledge how large their influence and impact is, I just don't really like the music itself.

As long as you like "Disorder" I have no quarrel with you.

Was that on Unknown Pleasures? It's the only album I listened to and I haven't listened to it on a long time.

I personally fell in love with Joy Division when they, in mind, were just "some band I've heard people talk about".

First track on the album. Amazing song.

How many times did you listen to it? On my first listen, I liked it, but couldn't remember a single song afterwards. Second time I listened... I had to put it on a third time.

I have to listen to any album more than once, though.

I think I listened to it 2 or 3 times and it never wowed me.

I'm thinking back on it and not many people are big fans of The Boss. I should probably add him to the list of "popular artists I can't stand but are equally disliked by the board's consensus", along with U2, Metallica, Green Day, Journey, Bon Jovi and Coldplay.

Like most of the artists I listed above, I have to deal with Springsteen a lot, too, which adds to my dislike. When the only way to get extra credit in one class is to name one of his songs when the teacher's brother-in-law/fellow coach asks or to pass in another is to admit that you like him and what you've heard irritates you... yeah, you can see why I dislike his music?
