Over The Hills and Far Away - LED ZEPPELIN

    Gator Country - MOLLY HATCHET

    Highway Song - BLACKFOOT
It's only oversaturation if you have to switch discs.

Aren't epic songs supposed to make your heart race, palms sweat, send shivers down your spine, and feel like something really big is happening? I don't like sounding subjective but there aren't many songs that give me that kind of effect. I guess it's just my own opinion.

    Beautiful People - Marilyn Manson
This Is Who We Are - Hawthorne Heights
Beautiful Tragedy - In This Moment

There probably not what others would call "epic", but they're songs I'd LOVE to play

Nice to see a fellow fan of Genesis making a request!

    The Tain - The Decemberists
Dancing with the Moonlit Knight - Genesis
    Jungleland - Bruce Springsteen
No Springsteen? Huh. Surely there's some Kinks? Santana? Pink Floyd? I get it: less classic, more modern. Like The Arcade Fire or Ryan Adams?

    1. G'n'R: Not as epic as Dream Theater, yet "November Rain" is still impressive and an epic for the band. To me this is the epitome of Axl and Slash, emotional lyrics and incredible guitar.

    2. If we're going epic, consider "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding in my Hands" by Elton John. Epic energy conveys the frustrated emotion on this song.

    3. "Blind", KoRn, in terms of structure not that epic, but in the historical sense its epic. For me, this is the dawn of nu-metal right here! Many metal bands to come after, including Disturbed states KoRn's influence.
