What effects Song Rewards?

Is playing on Short Version Mode changes what you get when you finish a gig? (furnitures, instruments etc)

And what about 3/4/5 Staring? Does your score matter?

Well, Short Version Mode certainly reduces the amount of money you get, but I don't think there's any other penalty. My wife and I blew it on Two Princes (2-3 stars) and then redid it with 5 stars hoping that would get us the Queen (not knowing at the time that more gigs unlocked later to get her) and we got nothing, so I don't think stars affect your reward at all (other than once again, less money)

No, stars apparently don't affect how many items you unlock. I've replayed 3 or 4-star gigs to 5-star/gold-star them and I've never picked up any new unlocks by doing so.

Pretty much the only requirement is that you complete a new gig to unlock all the minifigs/den items/etc assigned to it.

Not to my knowledge. But I only play Expert, so I can't say what happens at lower difficulty levels.
