Which guitar should I buy for the Lego Rock Band?

I bought the Lego RB (Wii platform) for my son for Christmas with the Logitech Vantage microphone, now my other son wants to have the guitar, I am thinking of getting in it as a bundle, guitar and game. I was thinking to get the guitar hero 5, do you think that's a good choice? My children are 9, 8 and 4, however the little wouldn't play the guitar. However if that's not a good option can you please let me know which one to get instead? I am based in the UK if that makes any difference.

We own a PS3 and have guitar hero 3 so I wouldn't want to have the same thing for the Wii.

    Thank you for your help.

get a Rock Band 1 or 2 stratocaster,it has solo buttons so it would make it easier for people with smaller hands to play

anything other then the RB guitars would not do as good for little 1s

my nephew has trouble playing the guitar hero guitar and can mess up alot, but for the rock band guitar he can play expert on pretty difficult songs
    DLC-178 + RB1 export + blitz (L:RB needs to be re-exported but i need more HDD space)

Depends on the size of the guitar.

I've got an RB2 Strat and a GH3 Les Paul, and while I definitely play only the Strat, that's actually a pretty heavy toy for my 7-year old to try to wield. He does much better on the lighter, smaller Les Paul.

With the full game bundles in the $99 dollar range, I just recommend those.

Consider that standalone instruments, depending on the brand, run an average of $50 dollars. So for the cost of 2 stand-alone instruments you end up with a full new game, two instruments, a microphone, and so on. Even if you don't use every single part, it is a bargain compared to buying things a piece at a time.

RB2 bundles for the Wii are nearly impossible to find these days, at least in the US. I may be wrong, but I've also heard that RB2 bundles aren't available in the UK at all.

If the games are for your kids, I would recommend a Band Hero bundle over a GH5 bundle since the track listing is geared toward the younger crowd.

Thank you everyone for your replies, it's a mine field with so many to choose from so your help has been very much appreciated.

I will have a look on Amazon in the UK to see what I can find.

Correction, get the Rock Band 2 guitar ONLY. The Rock Band 1 guitar has problems with the strum bar wearing out. Unfortunately, you can't get a wired RB2 guitar, but better batteries than broken.

I recommend a Band hero bundle, it comes with an excellent drum kit, and from what I hear the guitar is amazing, I find the rock band guitars harder to use but they look better , if you just want a guitar, I got GH5 with the guitar and that is my guitar of choice it is really good.
