I had planned to only buy a couple of Petty tracks this week, but decided to buy all 9 songs after previewing. All 9 were a blast on vocals. I don't listen to the radio much, so I was one of those "living under a rock" who had never heard the Phoenix songs before today. Love them! These days I only seem to find new music through Rock Band, unless they get booked at my concert venue. Can't wait to get into RBN. Thanks to HMX for broadening my musical horizons!

(While trying not to sound like a complete tool) I had know idea that 1901 was that song from the Cadillac commercials I will pick song up I really like that song and I thought it was The Killers song too.
    Please Vote for Muse

honestly, I'm a bit disappointed with the mix of "1901". The drum sound is just not there. The compression on the drums in the album mix really brings that song alive and it falls a bit flat in the game. Gameplay wise it's pretty fun though.

I don't usually like to listen to live tracks , much less play on RB. So seeing all this great TP catalog "live" I was kinda' bummin'.
Being the Tom Petty nut that I am though, I checked out the songs and thought they were pretty good versions.
I dl'd all of the first pack and all but two from the second pack.
All I can say is great job HMX...these tracks are all excellent pickups for me!
I still stand on my general opinion of live tracks though. So please let this be the quality bar for future stuff it it has to be live tracks we get.
Lawdog1521 - I'll go with two. Why? Anytime you have a dead clown you come out ahead.

This is your opinion and you have every right to voice it. Just don't tell me what to like. I don't like the live tracks, so I will not be picking up any of the Petty like I haven't in the past. Petty and McCartney are some of my favorites. I just don't like live tracks.

Phoenix and Silvertide both sound very generic. Nothing there to make me want go out of my way to buy them.

Also, I dislike Petty, so that's ruled out as well.

Ah well, next week will hopefully be better.
