    Question Alternative Charting?

So, I'm starting to get the hang of Reaper, but I find using the mouse to add each individual note very uncomfortable and frustrating. I know it's currently not possible to use the RB instrument to chart notes, but can I create a keyboard shortcut for each note type? Like can I use 4 on the numpad to add a note for Expert Red? Thanks for any help.

you should try out the program EOF. Though it was not designed for the RBN, it does essentially the same thing. Also, EOF DOES support the use of guitar hero/rock band instruments!

Click here to go to the EOF page

With EOF you can play the songs in real time and tap F1-F5 for green through orange to place those notes.

Feedback does support drums. If you press F8 it takes you to the drum track. The green note is the bass drum, and red-orange are the pads. You also need to get a program that converts the chart file to a midi.

Edit: This is feedback, for those who don't know: http://www.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7466

You know, you can quickly copy notes by selecting them and holding ctrl and dragging, right? And you can copy and paste notes with ctrl-c and ctrl-v. And you can copy entire sections down from one difficulty to another and simplify by deleting notes. I think that's way better than using a controller to input notes. I don't understand why people like to use a controller for this side of things.

Thanks guys, all of that feedback helped. As soon as I get on my moms laptop again, I'll try it out.

@GeneralGilliam - Yea, before I owned GH3, I played FoF to satisfy my urge before Christmas :P So I'm quite familiar with EoF.
