    Ringo Starr's "Y Not"

What did you guys think of it?

I thought it was better than most of his work, but not by much.
    I'm so lamé.

Wasn't that good. A pretty huge step down from Liverpool 8, which I thought was his best album since Ringo...and his second best album, period.

Here's my review, on my blog.

Generally a horrible album. Plastered in Auto-Tune from top to bottom, it almost sounds like T-Pain decided to collaborate with Thomas the Tank Engine both musically and lyrically.

Ringo is a very bad songwriter. Lowlights of the album include ‘Peace Dream’, where Ringo fails to invoke the emotion or feeling of Lennon’s solo work despite making incountable references to Imagine, Give Peace a Chance, and bed-ins. Despite the inclusion of a recognisable and impeccable bass line by former bandmate Paul McCartney, the song fails to improve. Added to this is the confusing Who’s Your Daddy, a song that I will never understand the point of.

4/10. Probably worth a listen just to realise how bad it is. There are a couple of good songs but that's it.
DO WANT moar Muse, Kaiser Chiefs, The B-52's

I listened to it and thought it was an OK album. Not one that I listen to very often, but one that would be OK once a year or so. There are a couple of good songs, but for the most part the songs are forgettable.
Pushing 50 and still rockin' like a teen, only now I can afford it and it takes longer to recover.
