Thread: DLC Speculation

    Lightbulb DLC Speculation

Well, either Harmonix is still working on DLC or they aren't. I (like many many others) don't think they'll stop supporting The Beatles this soon.

To explain the delay, I'm hoping they're working on something like this:

A Hard Day's Night / Help! film track pack.
A DLC pack consisting of songs from these two movies. Instead of just being songs + dreamscapes like DLC released thus far, this pack will have some new features:
    - new story mode that follows the films
    - in lieu of dreamscapes, including settings FROM the films like: the train in AHDN, the stage from their performance in AHDN, studio in Help!, apartment in Help! (complete with goofy sunken couch ), skiing scene, bahamas scene, etc.
    - new unlockable photographs regarding the movies
    - film clips from the movies
    - new achievements!

This would explain why it's taking them a bit longer than we hoped to release more DLC. It would also expand on the songlist, and add songs from albums that are under-represented on-disc. (I count 2 songs from AHDN and 1 from Help!).

This might be a pipe dream, but I think it's a really good idea. Are you reading this, Harmonix?

It's a pipe dream unless you're dealing with an expansion disk, because it'd be a complete download of a rather large size, and wouldn't be supported on the Wii because it'd require a patch to the regular version of the game. Beyond that, now you need movie license rights as well.

This is not to say it's not a cool concept, just not happening.

Unlikely, but yeah. I wouldn't even need all this. I just hope they continue great DLC the same way they have with the first three.
HMX, I love you. You introduced me to my favorite band, The Beatles. And now you're making a game for my first favorite, Green Day. Thank you so much

Would be very awesome, but we're lucky if they even release more DLC.

    But, its a cool thought.

    Your speculation is way off.
If you have to ask, then yes.

New achievements and photos would be a nice touch, but I doubt they're gonna add film footage.

The reason for the wait is more than likely twofold:
    1. long break over the holidays, which pushes things back a month or so
    2. extensive work on getting the RBN up and running - I'm sure that was a HUGE effort!

It would be awesome but i believe it's so hard to do i don't think they'd do it. I saw this in my dream about 2 days ago i was playing Help! The Video Game

    1. - according to the rumours, all album DLC were made BEFORE the game was out. So that means, that they have had nearly 5 month to make new DLC.
    2. Yeah, and Green Day: Rock Band might have take some effort + Rock Band 3?

Wouldn't happen. The game engine does not allow any type of new resources to be added in the game or in DLC. And that's not something you can just "patch".

Harmonix, thanks to Jimi Hendrix Experience, you've made sure I never will say one bad word about your company!
