Howto keep drums stable on carpet?

Hey, through the months of playing RB1 and RB2 i notice my drums slide around alot whenever i play on the carpet, is there any way short of bolting them down that i can do to make them stay still?

I suggest using a old throw rug and buying using some velcro with double sided tape to hold your set down.

I just got a remnant of thicker carpet (sold at carpet stores) long enough for the drum set and drum throne...it sets in and doesn't slide. My weight sitting on the throne keeps the remnant (w/ the kit on it) from sliding as well. This also saves on wearing out the regular carpet.

get a horse to sit on the feet, you won't get more stable than that.

Your problem stems from pushing forward on the foot pedal when you're playing. As you push down and forward to hit the notes, it pushes the whole set forward a little bit at a time. One of the best ways to get rid of this is to ensure you use a straight up and down motion when pressing the pedal. Another way is to get rid of the stock pedal and get a kickbox/e-drum trigger/real pedal. With the e-drum trigger, it forms a triangle over the bottom stabilizers so you don't move the set at all when you play. This is infinitely more expensive than modifying your playing style but it offers the benefit of feeling more realistic.

You could just put something heavy in front of the frame so it won't move, that's what I did before lol
