Going over the list I've realized there's quite a bit more than I originally thought, so I'm gonna shorten descriptions by a little bit.
I hate and suck at reviews anyhow, so consider it a favor.

Melodically and texturally satisfying post-punk with the emphasis on punk from Germany.

    78 Saab - Crossed Lines
    Genre: Powerpop/Indie Rock
    Year: 2004

Rich, radio-friendly pop with a dash or two of excess melancholy, but with the songwriting chops to back such a damning description.

Recommended If You Like: Band Of Horses, Teenage Fanclub, and Matthew Sweet.

    John Abercrombie - Timeless

Folks who played with Miles Davis, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Billy Cobham, and more pull off some seriously light-weight (Nearly New Age at times) fusion.

The first two sounded interesting enough, but the John Abercrombie one seems like something I've been missing out on too long in particular. Checking it out in a sec.

Edit: Oh wow, this is chill. Love it.

That Stille Hoffnung album is GREAT. So dance-y and fun I'll check out that 78 Saab album today too.

I like the John Abercrombie album, it's very chill and cinematographic.
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

You can tell the band's obscure when Metal Archives doesn't have a page up for them.

I'll look into this one later. Seems like something I'd like. The comparisons are great enough on their own.
