i've honestly never been a monster magnet fan, but their first few albums aren't bad.

That Roland Young album is superb, an amazing psyched-out jazzy experience.

Really easy-going heavy psych, sometimes sounding like Hendrix with Kyuss's rhythm section.
One of the best things I've heard out of Argentina lately.

Recommended If You Like: Kyuss, Monster Magnet, Fu Manchu, Nebula, Los Natas, and Colour Haze.

    Sample via myspace.
Going to the top of my future download list.

Ill also tell you: what tripped me out about the Humo del Cairo album is, it starts off with consistent hard, aggressive tempos....then suddenly turns a 180 and puts out the softer acoustic touch with "Errantes"....which later churns out that bluesy vibe (kinda reminded me of "Midnight Rambler"). then the album returns back to its rougher edges. Felt like "Errantes" was used as a breather.

love experimentation like that, whether intended or not

I love the Poem Rocket stuff(are the other albums worth checking into?) but I think I prefer Number One Cup, both were great albums of the day though. I'm going to check into some of the other recent ones tomorrow.
