Top shelf afrobeat here, mixing funk and psychedelic rock for a highly accessible slice of Nigerian delight.

Blog partially updated, couldn't find a link or cover for the electroacoustic album at all. I managed to get cover art for BLO but I couldn't find a viable link.

I have the BLO album queued but not sure if I will ever get a chance to download it and have it on the blog today.

The Prisoners - A Taste Of Pink!
    Genre: Mod/Garage Rock
    Year: 1982

Every song is a total delight, far catchier and more memorable than their contemporaries. I can't think of a better album from the mods, revivalists or not.

Recommended If You Like: The Kinks, The Jam, Small Faces, The Creation, The Milkshakes, and The Lambrettas.

With comparisons to the Kinks, the Jam, and the Creation, I should adore this album.

    Quickspace - Precious Falling
    Genre: Post-Rock/Space Rock
    Year: 1998

Former members of Th' Faith Healers bust out a really laidback fusion of indie pop/rock, krautrock, and space rock.

Recommended If You Like: Pram and Can's rhythm section covering The Swirlies on downers.

Suma - Let The Churches Burn
    Genre: Doom/Sludge Metal
    Year: 2006

Probably the best doom Sweden has to offer.
Pretty much every style of the genre is hit out of the park here with the exception of epic doom, which has no place here.

Recommended If You Like: Electric Wizard, Sleep, Corrupted, Acid King, Ramesses, and Mammatus.

    EDIT: Blog also updated already.
