EDIT: just gave Precious Falling a first listen. Very eclectic-sounding, and it's one of those albums that gets better as you near the bottom third or so of the track list.

Not quite as bleak as the titles let on, this is a really fantastic and polished collection of moderately dark alt-country songs.
Canadians totally rule at making rainy day music.

Recommended If You Like: Johnny Cash, Townes Van Zandt, Magnolia Electric Co., Gram Parsons, The Handsome Family, and Slim Cessna's Auto Club.

Another Swedish group, this time of the 60's rock variety.
This album is slightly better than Forever Changes in my book if that tells you anything. Oddly enough, both albums came out within days of one another.

Recommended If You Like: The Zombies, Love, The Pretty Things, Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Action, and The Left Banke.
