Spy Vs. Spy - Harry's Reasons?
    Genre: Post-Punk/Pub Rock
    Year: 1986

Confusion over the band's name aside (due to the comic of the same name and now some newer band ganking the name), this is a slab of absolute top-shelf Australian gold here.
It's absolutely insane that this band opened for the likes of U2, The Clash, Midnight Oil, and countless more inferior yet far more popular bands.

Recommended If You Like: The Police, U2, Midnight Oil, The Church, Hoodoo Gurus, and The Chameleons.

    All Over The World
    Harry's Reasons?
    Iron Curtain
    Injustice

Also, the band is now offering a significant chunk of their output for free download here. I don't know what the quality's like, but it's free!

This album sounds enjoyable though. And I should be able to get it if the band's offering it for download.

    The blog's already been updated...

    Triclops! - Out Of Africa
    Genre: Post-Hardcore
    Year: 2008

I tend to get pretty annoyed by this sort of stuff (Though it's not deserved, the jazzcore tag on last.fm was an early warning), but somehow these guys are really great.

Recommended If You Like: At The Drive-In, Battles, The Blood Brothers, Faraquet, Tera Melos, and Adebisi Shank.

    Sample via myspace.

Nekropolis - Musik Aus Dem Schattenreich
    Genre: Progressive/Ambient Electronic
    Year: 1981

Flipping back and forth between Klaus Schulze and Coil, this is one sinister and sometimes suffocating ride.
Fans of dark ambient and industrial need to pay their dues here.

Recommended If You Like: Tangerine Dream, Coil, Popul Vuh, Klaus Schulze, Chrome, and Heldon.

I'm afraid I can find no samples for this online.

Cool, I suspect Spy Vs Spy will be a favorite after more people get around to hearing it.

    Also, blog double-updated!

I don't know if anybody else is having this problem, but every time I try to grab the Junipers album, it's giving me "The file you are trying to access is temporarily unavailable."

If this continues through tomorrow just let me know and I'll fix it up.

Sure thing, I'll try again later on tonight early tomorrow to see if that still happens.

The Austrasian Goat - Self Titled
    Genre: Funeral Doom/Atmospheric Black Metal
    Year: 2007

Solo outing from France, I really love the willingness to split such an ambience-focused doom record up into 9 tracks. I love long-winded tracks as much as the next guy, but this is really refreshing.
Really good use of melody and color here, sometimes busting out a section that wouldn't be out of place on a drone-metal or post-rock record for a quick breather.
    Oh, and nice Grief cover!

Recommended If You Like: Skepticism, Nortt, Xasthur, Nadja, Ea, and Lurker Of Chalice.

    Black Is Not A Colour
    Unchained

    The Steppes - Enquire Within
    Genre: Garage/Psychedelic Rock
    Year: 1989

A different side of my obsession with obscure Irish rock, these guys released several of neo-psych's most overlooked gems (Just over 450 listeners on Last.fm?!) and this is my personal favorite of the bunch.
One of those rare LP's that almost takes up a full 2 hours (Assuming you get the CD version and you should in this case), but doesn't wear out it's welcome.

Recommended If You Like: The Doors, Syd Barrett, The Shadows of Knight, Strawberry Alarm Clock, The Chocolate Watch Band, and Pink Fairies.

EDIT: Blog updated. I just edited one of our doubles from yesterday since I couldn't figure out how to delete a post entirely.

The Rapishare link for The Austrasian Goat doesn't work, but the mediafire does.

Really looking forward to these albums
