The Mob - Let The Tribe Increase
    Genre: 1983
    Year: Anarcho-Punk

Like the bridge between Amebix and Joy Division, this is seriously dark and oppressive stuff without sacrificing variation in sound or melody.
I've been recommending this album since joining this forum, but don't remember seeing anyone taking the bait, so here we are. No lie, this beats any Crass album in my book.
Also, the reissue has lots of great extra material (demos, singles, etc.) so get that.

Recommended If You Like: Crass, Joy Division, Rudimentary Peni, Zounds, Flux Of Pink Indians, and Aus-Rotten.

    Sample via Amazon.

    Mainliner - Mellow Out
    Genre: Noise Rock
    Year: 1996

One of the most accessible noise rock albums of the 90's, basically taking the most "out there" acid-psych guitar freakouts, mangling them further, and crafting a full album of the results.
A classic. My favorite Japanese noise rock album.
Also, this is Makoto Kawabata from Acid Mothers Temple on the guitar so you know this rules.

Recommended If You Like: Blown out distorted guitars of any kind whatsoever.

    Sample via boomkat.

took a gander on Pleasure, which was a bad idea. Sounded more poppy than Siouxsie-esque. And it reminded me why I hate twee so much

EDIT: was anyone able to get the Part 1 link for The Mob? Part 2 was fine, but not 1

Just checked the Part 1 link and it worked fine for me. If others have trouble let me know and I'll fix it.

    Scarce - Deadsexy
    Genre: Alternative Rock
    Year: 1995

Fate is so cruel and lame that when a terrific new band gets picked up by a major label for their debut the singer has a brain hemorrhage during the recording, leaving him coma-bound for months and later unable to keep the band together for another album.
This is probably the closest I've ever heard to a proper continuation of the Pixies sound.

Recommended If You Like: Pixies, Superchunk, Archers Of Loaf, Sugar, Buffalo Tom, and The Afghan Whigs.

I tried again to download Pt 1, but I keep getting a prompt to insert a disc for Part 2, for some reason. No idea.

You probably need to have both files in the same folder when extracting from the zip/rar file, though I could be wrong since those aren't my uploads.

    Has anyone else tried these?

I grabbed the album yesterday and had no problems with the files.

    His voice is ****ING HOT
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

Black Swan Lane - A Long Way From Home
    Genre: Dreampop/Post-Punk
    Year: 2007

This is my preferred post-Chameleons Mark Burgess project, featuring some of his best material in it's lengthy, but never dull 22 tracks.
Whereas The Chameleons were a post-punk band with dreampop tendencies A Long Way From Home is a dreampop album with nods to post-punk, folk, and even a little dancehall.

Recommended If You Like: The Chameleons, The Sound, Trespassers William, Sad Lovers And Giants, Kitchens Of Distinction, and The Comsat Angels.

    Sample via Itunes.

Kollektiv Rote Rübe & Ton Steine Scherben - Paranoia
    Genre: Dark Cabaret
    Year: 1976

My knowledge of the German language is very limited, but from what I understand this is a fairly extreme left-wing release.
Musically, this is what I had always wanted bands like The Dresden Dolls and Rasputina to sound like. Unhinged and beautiful stuff, totally weird and maddening but not annoying.

Recommended If You Like: Lydia Lunch slipping Katzenjammer Kabarett a roofie.
