Sacred Blade - Of The Sun + Moon
    Genre: Heavy Metal/Progressive Metal
    Year: 1986

Incredibly well played and produced, mixing relatively clean heavy, speed, and progressive styles of metal into a cosmic-themed stunner of an album.

Recommended If You Like: Mercyful Fate, Captain Beyond, Manilla Road, Angel Witch, Lucifer's Friend, and Cirith Ungol.

    Sample via myspace.

Fosca - On Earth To Make The Numbers Up
    Genre: Electropop
    Year: 2000

I usually hate this sort of stuff, but this sounds kinda like Pulp flexing electro and twee muscles we never knew they had instead of Kylie Minogue.

Recommended If You Like: Anything that can be described as Europop.

    Sample via soundunwound.

    Polyrock - Self Titled
    Genre: New Wave/Art Rock
    Year: 1980

Polyrock's tense, motorik sound coupled with Philip Glass's (Who was already an obvious inspiration for their repetitive, pattern-driven music) production. Really unique and fantastic stuff for synth fans.

Recommended If You Like: Talking Heads, Brian Eno, Devo, The Feelies, Oingo Boingo, and A Certain Ratio.

    Bucket Rider
    Your Dragging Feet

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kazumoto Endo - While You Were Out
    Genre: Noise
    Year: 1999

One of the finest and most accessible Japanese harsh noise recordings, Endo works in rhythmic noise and highly filtered samples.
As the album cover may suggest, this is a playful, energetic album so those looking to brood along to their noise will want to look elsewhere.

Recommended If You Like: Merzbow, Incapacitants, Masonna, Guilty Connector, Violent Onsen Geisha, and Grunt.

    Night Falls On Ikebukuro

About that europop/electropop band you proposed, I wonder if you know about Jay-Jay Johanson? Most of his albums are trip hop influenced by diverse other genres such as jazz or country, but there is one album that most fan didn't like because he tried a smart electropop album that clashes with the other albums. It's called Rush.

(this is what fans were used to by him, this one's off his album tattoo which is much more jazzy)
It was like a bird of rarest-spun heaven metal or like silvery wine flowing in a spaceship, gravity all nonsense now.

My Spanish is beyond rusty, but this album's themes are definitely planetary. Musically, it's really rockin' prog with a prominent brass section and large helpings of spaced out psychedelia, jazz, tropicalia, and soul.
I can't believe this came out in 1970, nor that it's not considered a classic in prog/psych circles.

Recommended If You Like: Gong meets Chicago meets Os Mutantes meets Soft Machine.

I'm familiar with his trip-hop work, which I'm not into to be honest, but I'll look into Rush and see how it is.
