    absolutely.
the follow-up is just about as good, but quite a bit weirder and then the 3rd album is absolute mind-death (in a good way).

unfortunately, their final album is not very good.

    Hanover Fist - Hungry Eyes
    Genre: Heavy Metal
    Year: 1985

A sadly unnoticed band who played that lovely sound that sits right in between traditional metal and AOR/hair metal.

Recommended If You Like: Motley Crue, W.A.S.P., Judas Priest, Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot, and Dokken.

    Low-Quality Samples...
    Metal Of The Night

Interesting I think this might be the first band I recognise from this thread.

BTW, I listen to the electronic pop album from yesterday, not too bad I'll play it later on today when I can hear at full volume.

cool, i was surprised no one mentioned the album...
it seems like something that would over well with all the sigur ros and mum fans if they could tear themselves away from pitchfork for a bit.

Drums & Tuba - Vinyl Killer
    Genre: Post-Rock
    Year: 2001

I never understood why these guys didn't become really popular, since so many complain about how boring and predictable post-rock tends to be.
Anyhow, this band has a dude that plays various brass instruments instead of bass and they write strangely catchy songs that oftentimes seem to draw more inspiration from jazz fusion and prog/psychedelic rock than post-rock.

Recommended If You Like: Bands who don't really sound like other bands.

Sample part of the album on myspace.

That sounds interesting man, would it be cool to also tagged them as experimental on the blog?

By the way I got around to downloading the Wicked Witch album and I got I was right in assuming this was bad ass. I'm on the Fancy Dancer and it got the greatest evil vibe while still being really funky.

yeah, i could see it going under more of an experimental rock tag without much fuss...

i would say that wicked witch album is definitely the darkest funk recording i've ever heard.

Same here although I haven't listened to as many funk albums I should(being the bass player that I am). The Wicked Witch album sound like it be the perfect driving music for night time.
