    Genre: Shoegaze/Noise-Pop
    Year: 2004

Oh man, it's like Sonic Youth bodyslamming My Bloody Valentine while Echo & The Bunnymen referees!
Seriously, you guys will dig this.

Recommended If You Like: Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Echo & The Bunnymen, Crocodiles, Dinosaur Jr, and A Shoreline Dream.

Sample a few songs on the band's web-site (Be sure to check out the album on the right side of the screen and not "Self-Propelled").

Giving it a listen right now, only through 1 song and it's excellent so far.

    Helms Alee - Night Terror
    Genre: Sludge/Post-Hardcore
    Year: 2008

Absolutely breathtaking work, finding the perfect middle ground between noisy post-hardcore, crushing sludge, and melodic sections with sweet female vocals to lure in open-minded indie fans.
Hydra Head Records put the CD version of this out and one of the dudes even played in Harkonen and These Arms Are Snakes, so why in the hell aren't more people listening to it?! Oh well, one of the best albums of 2008.

Recommended If You Like: Torche, Kylesa, Fugazi, Harvey Milk, Young Widows, Harkonen, and Rwake.

    Sample the album on Insound.
