The Fendermen - Mule Skinner Blues
    Genre: Rockabilly
    Year: 1960

Twin reverb-drenched guitars (using a single amp) with the occasional foray into drums or vocals, this is easily one of the best and most fun rockabilly albums ever recorded.

Recommended If You Like: Hasil Adkins, Carl Perkins, The Cramps, Stray Cats, The Trashmen, and Charlie Feathers.

    Low-Quality Sample...

The Fendermen album was pretty good. It opened and ended very well (loved "Mule Skinner Blues" and "Don't You Just Know It", but it seemed like most of it sounded similar. A good album, though.

to be honest, it's one of the more varied rockabilly albums i know of, considering how limited the genre is...
this one digs into country and pop a bit more than most.

glad you dug it, though... i'm glad to see non-indie/alt albums getting some love in this thread.

Finally got a chance to listen to the Warning s/t... definitely getting the Klaus Nomi vibe from it, but also seeing where they may have also been an influence on bands like E Nomine, perhaps even KMFDM... it's twisted, but it's brilliant.
