I could never get over the fact that the Enterprise looked like an upside-down soup spoon with warp engines attached. Compared to the Enterprise from the movies, it was quite a disappointment.

I've been reading some of Wil Wheaton's retrospective reviews written about 20 years after the fact (so about 4 or 5 years ago now), really entertaining reads, and he suggests that the show only survived its infancy because it was first-run in syndication. They didn't have a network to answer to. I had forgotten that was the case. Largely because I'm pretty sure it's the last non-daytime talk/game show for which that was the case.
But it is rather remarkable how the show 'jumped the shark in reverse.'
Couldn't really imagine Denise Crosby as Troi, but I guess that's because Marina Sirtis made the character her own so convincingly. I remember seeing the episode where she is killed off and I always thought that villain looked like.........well, apologies if anyone's eating, but I always thought that villain looked like feces. I wonder what my perception of it will be watching the episode again for the first time in several years(I'm working my way through the series on Netflix, if you couldn't tell)
Going through Eastbound and Down. The show is pretty inconsistent, but when its on, its freaking hilarious.

Been going through Stargate. The first season is filled with iffy universe-expansion, as is any sci-fi show. Not sure how I'd feel about it starting from here, but I caught most of the Sci-Fi seasons, so I know it gets better.

Also, the new Nikita show is pretty awesome for those who haven't checked it out at all.
DLC on DLCQuickPlay.com. Gamertag is the same as my Forum name. Hit me up if you wanna play!
I've seen the first season of Nikita, but that's all that's on Netflix right now. I like it.
I'm almost caught up with Fringe. Just saw episode 4.19, which was mind-blowingly awesome and gives them a lot of really cool material to work with for season 5. Also nice to see Henry Ian Cusack (Desmond from LOST) again.
Cusick. No relation to John and Joan![]()
i'm through season 1 ep 17 of glee. i know i should feel ashamed but finn is just too adorable. i am surprised by the range of music in the show, all the way from show tunes to hip hop, which leads me to disliking a lot of the music but it's a ton better than watching american idol.
