What were the last TV shows you watched?

Jerry Seinfeld walked away from a $100 million offer to do a tenth season of Seinfeld.

He did it to start a family (he married his fiancée shortly after the show ended, and they now have three kids). We would have accepted "the show is starting to go downhill" as a reason, too. History looks back on it fondly, too, because the show really hasn't aged well. It's extremely outdated now even "just" 15-20 years later, and not in the quaint kind of way I Love Lucy is outdated, it's outdated in the way that what seems to be people you could place in the real world would never, ever, ever get caught in the situations they were. How many Seinfeld plots would have been resolved in two seconds if everybody had a cell phone, for instance?

There's a very good likelihood that a tenth season of Seinfeld would have been mediocrity defined.

Pretty much the final 2 seasons of Seinfeld were mediocre and I think that has a lot to do with Larry David leaving.

I'm glad Jerry made that call and stopped the show when he did instead of running it into the ground. Without Larry involved in the writing, the show was just not the same.

What Doctor did you start off with? Did you start off with 9, 10 or 11? The show gets better later on.

i'm watching it on amazon. it is season 1 of the reboot. doctor who has funny ears and a large nose and the girl has a huge overbite. my son started watching it and he seems really into it. we are on ep 6.

Ok, so that's the 9th Doctor and Rose Tyler. Trust me, season 2 is a bit better, but around season 3 is where it gets even better.

Richard Dawson has passed away. That means all four stars from the old "Match Game" show are no longer with us

I believe Dawson has some kind of world record (dunno if it's in the Guinness book, but still) for having kissed the most different women on television. Though his "kissing hello" every female contestant on the original "Family Feud" was taken as a perfectly chaste, family-friendly sort of thing to do in the late 70's and early 80's, there's little chance any host could get away with that now. But hey, nice work if you can get it ;\
