Question A quick question about Abbey Road DLC for the Wii

    Hi there,

My apologies if this has already been asked, I did a search but couldn't find the answer.

I'm trying to find out if I can download and play the entire Abbey Road Medley as one piece for the Wii. I've read that if you buy the Album on the PS3 or XBox you get this option. However, when I went to the Music Store on my Wii last night, my only option was to download individual tracks ( well, sets of tracks, like 'Sun King/Mean Mr. Mustard' as one track and 'Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End' as another for example ).

So, is it not possible to buy the album on the Wii? I have to buy all the tracks? And can I then not play the full medley all in one go on the Wii?

    Thanks in advance...

Just did a lot of reading here in the Forums, and from what I can see I have to download the different tracks, I can't download the album, and I can't play the Medley in one go ( the best I can do is create a playlist and add the different tracks and then play that, with gaps between each track ).

    What a bummer...

Yeah it's bummer, but it's better than nothing. You'll get used to playing them in groups. Look on the bright side, you don't have to play for 10 minutes just to get to She Came in Through Bathroom Window.
    More Beatles DLC, PLEASE!

    That's true!

Well, now that I know for sure, I'm still going to go online this evening and download as much as I can afford. The more songs the better!

    Good attitude!!!

As a fellow Wii rocker, I can say that even w/ the loading breaks that AR Side 2 is still a blast......even if waiting for Her Majesty to load @ the very end. Still pretty monumental to play this stuff in a RB game.

Kinda off-topic, but I have noticed audio quality differences btwn RB2 & TB:RB on Wii recently. Only really noticed when playing solo w/ headphones (kinda cool, actually). RB2 tracks do have a somewhat tinny, "MP3"-ish sound. They sound great - esp when running thru the A/V system & have a nice low end thump. But headphones do accentuate the obvious compression being utilized.

TB:RB audio, OTOH, sounds MUCH better on Wii. Tracks seem to be combos of some mono mixes & stereo - and ofter come off as a hybrid of the 2 - may explain why some radio stations were playing "Rock Band" mixes of Beatles songs late last year. Much of this stuff seems to be a THIRD iteration of audio mixes - pretty cool. And surely is a reason why TB:RB DLC has been slow to come - not just costly, but time consuming to make.

I also imagine with TB:RB on Wii being a post-Update 4.0 title, that HMX/Pi felt less compression would be needed due to increased storage space options.

On 360 you can play individually or as the medley, but on Wii you can only play the individual songs.
