There is no album art because it was a re-record. I guess they chose to not put a fake album art up.

Gonna wait till it hits the store. Glad to see others find Little Black Backpack vocals too low. I thought it might have been my setup.

Lol, I would if I had a capture card handy. I can describe it though. Chordy, but not boring during most parts, ascending and descending notes on the slower, more quiet parts. Definitely different, yet similar to the GH:VH chart.

EDIT: The vocals only seemed a little low during the first verse, but then again I was playing X guitar, so that may have made a big difference. Still an awesome song

Actually, within logic, it shouldn't. Just because both versions use the same masters, they are using two different mixes.

The one for Van Halen was mixed by professionals, the one for Rock Band was mixed by amateurs. Bad ones at that, considering that only the Wavegroup songs seem to have this vocal mixing problem. They should pull the songs from the marketplace and fix them ASAP.

First, the people at WaveGroup are professionals.

Second, most of their songs sound pretty good on my setup, especially Stroke 9's "Kick Some Ass." There has only been one song that got out the door that I really didn't care for the mix on my system and it wasn't a WaveGroup song.

Might post this on Wavegroups Facebook about vocals being low. I hate to see some of these anticipated bands getting some troubling audio quality.

now as ive said, wont stop me from buying, but it will stop alot of others, which i think is very important in the process

I agree, and what sounds good to you might not sound great to me.

We see it in test all the time, one person says raise the mix, they do and then someone comes along and says lower the mix.

Semi-charmed life was the first WG song that sounded weak to me. But I will definitely try to pay attention to the WG song's mixes since this seems to be an issue people are concerned about.

SCL seems like an unfortunate song to have the issue with...

Many people (such as myself) who use the RBN mostly as another way to get songs like these that we know/are excited for are going to be dissuaded if the mixes are off.

I haven't seen it yet to comment but man I hope it isn't poor quality. The guys at WG seem really good at what they do, so its obviously a consciously chosen mixing strategy on their part.
