Above is a quote from the official twitter of the Warhols, can somebody explain this to me? I feel as though The Warhols are being lied to by somebody, or i'm just not getting the RBN.

That's what I thought, I think somebody should tell them that they have full control. I'd hate for them to think of the RBN as a bad venue for their music because of insane priceing.

They don't. They left the label that they released most of their music under. If anything, said label retains the rights to the music and they are the ones behind this. Also, considering that label is Capitol/EMI (Blondie) I'd say that's the case.

So they're just misinformed.

I'm not going to make a big deal out of it, but I did send them a tweet explaining that the only $3 songs so far are from bands on EMI labels, so it isn't "Rock Band"'s fault.

Pure speculation, but I'm pretty sure EMI has someone on the inside making their own songs. That's what the twitter RBNNews says, anyway. Probably as a guarantee to keep money their way since they don't have to pay a group like Rock Gamer to do it and risk losing profit. I don't know about you all, but a company that can get us the Smashing freaking Pumpkins at an acceptable price will easily see a profit.

For a lot of people $3 is not an acceptable price though. It might be for some, but not many.

It's not like the $3 price point is going to make them more money or something.
