Careful What You Wish For John...(Come Together)

I'm sure I'm the only one who DIDN'T know this because I really didn't get into the Beatles heavily until I played this game, I was just a casual listener but didn't know too much about them and didn't have any albums, but the very first time I played Come Together and I saw the lyrics were "shoot me" I got chills. I never knew what he was saying, I just thought it was mindless babel. Anyone else discover this irony by playing the game? Probably not cause again I'm sure I'm the only one who didn't know that was what he was saying.

I never knew that until I played the game either so you're not alone. I always thought he was saying "Shoooo".

I always thought he was kinda doing like the horse side of the cheek vibration thing lol and it was supposed to really mean nothing, but I was surprised when I read that. And the fact everyone "came together over him." on December 8th 1980, and still do every December 8th is very chilling and ironic to the max.

But wasn't John referring to heroin, because you "shoot up" when you take it?

I always thought he was saying a quieter version of what Steven Tyler says in the cover version, 'Shaaa'

This could be very well possible, as I don't know the meaning of the song or the "shoot me" lyrics, I just found the irony in everything to be chilling that's all.

I was a fan before the game, but still never knew he was saying "shoot me". I always just thought it was a cool sounding whisper to add to the effect of the drums and bass. Someone brought this up a long time ago: You might notice that in the game, it never shows John saying those words. It will always show other members of the band playing instead.
HMX, I love you. You introduced me to my favorite band, The Beatles. And now you're making a game for my first favorite, Green Day. Thank you so much

I don't see how it's ironic unless you're talking about dramatic irony (which you might not know)
If you have to ask, then yes.

Its a political song, so yeah. Typical John. And i knew this beforehand, but its a reference to drugs. Why would he want to get shot?

John Lennon: Ringo isn't even the best drummer in The Beatles.
