There's nothing mystical about the XNA, with the proof of concept completed on it, an on disc solution doesn't seem so far away. Sony's music divisions could also give it a push, as the movie division did with the video store.

I have fears about RB3 on the Wii and DLC in general, because patching isn't an option if DLC needs to change. It could mean DLC will only be forward compatible.
Edit: After reading the article, it seems my fears weren't far off or alone. Glad I moved to the PS3.
