That is a pretty funny song.

Is that going to be the final album art, or are you still working on it? It looks... like it could still use some polish. Also, I probably wouldn't put the character itself on there, I'd personally go with something a bit more abstracted, or some kind of location/background image

I haven't decided yet. I usually like making great album art (I do all of the art for Ron Wasserman), but I went gritty on this one as the series is known for its unpolished look. And that image is the title card of the series, which has been approved to be used by the animator.

I may go back and create an original cover before the song goes into Peer Review though. I'm still waiting for the consent forms from Harmonix for it to go into Playtesting.

Yes, but the PR theme song doesn't rip on Chris-Chan, does it? I'm sure there's something in the terms of use about not depicting IRL people in a negative way.

We are currently looking into the situation with Harmonix and attempting to find a solution.

To clarify what Thom1234 is saying, the song is about the online series "Sonichu: The Animated Series" and the characters from this. The character "Christian Weston Chandler" is different from the Internet meme character Chris-Chan, as he is not a mayor of a city called CWCville (even if he thinks so). It is an original fictitious work.

If more details become available, we will post them here.

EDIT: Apparently I have a phone call set up with them. Which is either a good or bad thing.

You are aware that Chris has posted videos claiming anyone can make money off Sonichu as long as its not his comics or his DVD. I assume you are and that's why you started this project. But I'm just making sure you're aware of this evidence if it can help your case.

Thank you for bringing that up, powerofyates2. We are aware of that while going around and making sure everyone involved with the song and series (including the creator of Punk-O-Matic 2, who not only gave their approval, but also sponsors the song's Rock Band Network release) before moving forward with it. We didn't want to re-record the vocals and do all the charting for nothing, as it took a lot of time and effort.

Anyone who was hoping for an answer today, I regret to inform you there was some kind of miscommunication with setting up today's phone call. We've requested another on Friday and are waiting for a response. Our audio research consultant, whom will be taking the call, is actually based in Cambridge. So if need be, we will go as far as to request an in-person meeting if that is what it takes to have this situation settled. Please know we are taking this very seriously and are working hard to get this resolved.

    Thank you.
