More proof that when mods close a thread about a rumor, the rumor is true.

More No Doubt is fine, but if we're doing repeats, can we have some more RHCP?

FYI I read the DLC announcements in eager anticipation every Friday.

Maybe you should read more yourself, like maybe crack open a dictionary and read what the word "majority" means. Like when I said the majority of the DLC this year has absolutely sucked.

Sure the Hendrix album was great, still though where are all his hits? No Purple Haze or All Along the Watchtower or Hey Joe or Crosstown Traffic or Manic Depression or any of that... no the Jimi stuff only got released to coincide with the marketing promo of that new album.

A couple weeks back I saw the Violent Femmes announcement. Did we get the song everyone wants, Blister in the Sun? No of course not. The same goes for almost any time lately they announce a known rock band being included, we wind up with dud b-sides. Maybe the only exception to that this year was the excellent Alice in Chains pack they put out.

I still continue to optimistically check in here every Friday, but the fact that DLC has become weaker and weaker month after month is absolutel undeniable. Unless of course you bought Rock Band to play Gwen Stefani and country packs instead of the huge vault of awesome rock tunes they haven't got to yet...

This is pretty bad. DLC this year has been pretty disappointing for me. There's been a lot of "rainy day" weeks.

Thankfully around E3 and the summer is usually pretty good, Iron Maiden last year and The Who the year before.

Hopefully it picks up in the summer.

I am so glad you asked!

You may remember we released a large No Doubt pack way back called The Singles 1993-2002. Since that was more or less a "greatest hits" compilation, it ended up that there were several (five in fact) tracks off of Tragic Kingdom that we already made available in the Rock Band music library. Those tracks are listed below for your reference:

    - Don't Speak
    - Spiderwebs
    - Excuse Me Mr.
    - Sunday Morning
    - Just a Girl

Basically what we have done here is offer those tracks again, separately, in Tragic Kingdom: The Complete Album, in addition to Tragic Kingdom: The Deep Cuts which has everything else on Tragic Kingdom we had not yet released. Think of it as just a way to satisfy everyone: one offer for people who have not plunged into the No Doubt scene, and one offer for folks who just need to pick up the new tracks.

    TLDR:
    Deep Cuts: new tracks
The Complete Album: the new tracks, plus five tracks we already released (do not buy this if you have those songs!)

    Make sense?

Can you provide any insight for those who may still be confused how the 5 songs from The Singles will appear in-game? As well as any impact on Tour Challenges we may see?

Maybe you should look up "opinion" before you go ahead and hand the dictionary off to anybody else.

Seriously - you know that this is THE song that every single Violent Femmes fan wants? Sure it's a popular song, but your personal tastes don't necessarily dictate what the actual majority of fans want.

There are tons of people who write in and request songs from us, many of whom are not from your particular social circle.

We do our best to get a wide variety of tracks in the game - just because something is not what you, personally, would have chosen, doesn't mean it's not a track that is widely requested or appreciated by other players and fans.
    Song requests!
