Transatlantic - 2010 Whirld Tour (Live From Shepherds Bush, London)
    9/10

Very solid live album, only really dinging it for a relative lack of improvisational flair compared to the prior two live albums. But come on... who else can get away with a triple album that only has six total tracks?

    Whipping Boy - Heartworm
    8.4/10

Solid album, but nowhere close to Submarine. The latter was just perfect with a gem for every song, whereas Heartworm sounds a bit more generic with 2-3 gems. Definitely a departure from the sound they established with Submarine

Have A Nice Life - Deathconciousness

Incredibly strong first half, drops off a little toward the second half, but still spectacular.

    9.5/10

yeah, good album, though I'd say it was stronger in the middle-end portion. gave it an 8.8 myself, but been warming up to it more. "Bloodhail" is a ****ing awesome track

I also have to give "A Quick One Before the Eternal Worm Devours Connecticut" the award for best song title referring to my home state, despite the song itself being a yawn.

Holy ****ing **** and I Don't Love keep it from being 10/10 material, IMO. They aren't bad songs, they're just weaker.

Blood Hail is great, and I love Hunter and Waiting For Black Metal Records to Come in The Mail as well.

[the] slowest runner [in all the world] - We, Burning Giraffes

Great Post-Rock that's ambitious without really being pretentious. The tracks are long, but don't really overstay their welcome and are interesting throughout. There are multiple buildups in each song that are very different from each other, love the usage of different time signatures as well. The album definitely could have benefited from better production, particularly the last track.

    solid tracks, for sure

re: We, Burning Giraffes, I've only listened to "Zoe Machete Control" which I absolutely loved. Still need to listen to the rest of it.
