    Heaven's Venom - Kataklysm (6.25/10)

Your average death metal album with a share of good tunes. Nothing more or less to say about it.

Megadeth - Rust In Peace 9/10
I had never listened to a full Megadeth album before today. I disliked pretty much everything I had heard from them before, but finally decided to give a full album a shot, and holy ****. The riffing is AMAZING. And Mustaine isn't even that annoying on this record! Glad I gave in and checked it out.

The Chariot - Long Live 9/10
Another first time listen, this album is so chaotic and intense. Loved it, almost everything that makes good post hardcore can be found in this record.

RHCP - Blood Sugar Sex Magic 8.5/10
Been a while since I've heard this, and it's still pretty great. I still prefer their Californication stuff, but this not too shabby. Flea hits that bass like a b****.

Great White - Great Zeppelin : A Tribute to Led Zeppelin

The first time I heard this was about 9yrs ago. A friend brought it to work and we listened to it. I couldn't believe how well Jack Russell does Robert Plants vocals. Seriously, if Zeppelin was to ever tour again and without Plant, Russell would be a shoe in replacement. The album is LIVE and the fans are great during the show. Any 80's rocker or Great White fan has to check this out. Any Zeppelin fan can really get into this well done tribute album. Here is the track listing.

"In the Light" (John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant) - 6:06
"Living Loving Maid (She's Just a Woman)" (Page, Plant) - 3:30
"Ramble On" (Page, Plant) - 5:11
"Since I've Been Loving You" (Jones, Page, Plant) - 6:44
"No Quarter" (Jones, Page, Plant) - 8:02
    "Tangerine" (Page) - 3:05
"Going to California" (Page, Plant) - 4:13
"Thank You" (Page, Plant) - 4:37
    "D'yer Mak'er" (John Bonham, Jones, Page, Plant) - 4:44
"All My Love" (Jones, Plant) - 6:12
"Immigrant Song" (Page, Plant) - 2:21
"When the Levee Breaks" (Bonham, Jones, Memphis Minnie, Page, Plant) - 6:51
"The Rover" (Page, Plant) - 6:00
"Stairway to Heaven" (Page, Plant) - 8:35
It's only oversaturation if you have to switch discs.

RATM - The Battle Of Los Angeles 8/10
Rap-metal is generally not my style, but this was pretty decent. Good for anger or pumped-upidness.

Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue 10/10
Shouldn't have to say anything about this one. An absolute milestone in jazz. Rivaled by few in the genre. Excellent thinking music.

    Beck - Sea Change 9.5/10
I certainly prefer this to his more general alt side. Beautiful acoustic composition, and the lyrics marry perfectly with his voice.

No, RATM is obnoxious pseudo-political garbage.
