I know there's nothing to "get". I was just trying to joke with him acting as a hipster. (I don't consider myself one)
That doesn't mean anything. Liking Treats doesn't make you a hipster or even mean you like good music. I honestly liked Treats for what it's worth, but I'm in no rush to listen to again. Liking Muse doesn't make you a hipster either, it just makes you a sad person.

easy CC, don't want to earn yourself a detention. Besides, not ALL Muse is bad, just their new stuff (Black Holes.., Resistance)

I really don't understand the amount of hate from this board. I get that elsewhere on the forums they're annoying popular since their request thread is far larger than any other band and that's a bit ridiculous, and I'm not myopic in my liking of them that I think everyone must enjoy them, but it seems a bit overblown in the distaste.
And as for Sleigh Bells, a large endorsement from Pitchfork usually associates large proportions of hipsters with the album. Not to mention discussion about earlier concerned hipsters liking it, hence the original response.
"I try to be not like that, but some people really suck
People need to get the axing, chalk it up to bad luck." 311, Beautiful Disaster
Death Breath - Stinking Up the Night
I give it 4.4 Zombies. You don't wanna know what happened to that last .6 zombie.

I apologize then. Muse fans seem to be some of the most close-minded about anything, so I assumed you might be one of their major fans. Also, I rarely visit Pitchfork. I heard about Treats from necker.
But I do not like any Muse album as a whole. Even OoS and Absolution suck. I do like a few of their songs, but they kind of have the Led Zeppelin curse. They're blown so out of proportion by fans, so it makes them a lot more hated then they probably deserve.
actually, Led Zeppelin is damned good on its own merits. My retort would be don't fall into the trap of hating Led Zeppelin cuz it might be trendy to do so (especially from this forum, since so many people get butthurt that there's no Rock Band: Led Zeppelin). One should not pass judgment on a band just because a proportion of its fans may suck.
EDIT: to your credit, you said they probably don't deserve it, so I'll give you the nod there. Don't interpret my last to be directed at you specifically.
