I doubt that'll happen: PS3 sales are better by far than they ever were on the WII. That said, There's one thing you can actually do to help insure that the PS3 keeps getting RBN songs: put your money where your mouth is. Yes, yes yes I know: no previews. So what? It's not like there's so many songs getting ported over it'll take more than a couple minutes to go online and find out what they're like. "But that's so haaaaaaaaard!" *SLAP* "No it isn't."

i really wish there was a preview option, i don't understand how some ps3 users have it and some don't, and what is with the rbn 2.0? does that mean anything coming out now can have harmonies and keys?

Yes, but we'll have to wait on the PS3, as 30 day exclusivity still applies.

I'd put more money where my mouth is if they released more of the tracks I want. Granted there's only one song I desperately want but I have picked up other tracks as they come up that I may have missed the 360 release of and check semi-regularly again.

For what it's worth, the one track I desperately wanted since RBN launch day ... PS3's finally getting this week ("Whatever Is Wrong With You").

Have you been pestering HMX about those, or are you waiting in silence? If the songs aren't selling well on the Xbox there's not much hope - but even the occasional forum post along the lines of "Wow, [BAND]'s song [SONG] looks/sounds amazing [BECAUSE]. I can't believe it's not selling like crazy" might actually help. The sad truth is that most people are depressingly incurious about music: almost nobody buys music without a) having heard it over and over again already or b) having heard or read rave reviews of it.

Which is why we need previews...

It's hard to be curious about music considering the 100's of other things I have in my daily life that beg for or demand my attention. I probably am more curious than the average person, in part because I despise pop music, but I still find most of my music by hearing it at a friends, catching it on a mix on Grooveshark or Pandora, seeing an opening band for a band I already like.

The fact is, there is more music out there than I could possibly listen to even if I listened 24/7. Therefore, in order to determine what I'm going to listen to out of all the possibilities, something (at some level) needs to guide me. The older I get, the more that guide becomes simply hearing a song and making the decision for myself (as opposed to caring what is popular or what my friends might thing)... but I still have to have the opportunity to hear it.

I don't sit around wondering what music I'm missing out on as long as I have good music to listen to...

I can't argue with that! It's a definite flaw - and I can't say that I've seen a concrete reason for it not having been remedied. (Is there one out there? Link?) It's a shame. Though it has to be admitted that even *with* the previews, people tend not to get music on the RBN that they don't already know from elsewhere...

Still no RBN previews for this PS3 user = VERY few purchases as well (which would change if preview was available)

My RBN preview has NEVER worked. I thought it was something that would get fixed in RB3 but it didn't. I have not been able to preview RBN songs in RB2 or now RB3. Sad too since it means there are probably a LOT of songs I would have bought if I could preview them. Now I only buy songs that I know the band and song. I have over 1100 songs in my library now but will always continue to grow it. For now at least though it will not be from the RBN unfortunately.
