I was kinda half-expecting a The Resistance track pack to show up not too long after the album itself, but no such luck.

We just may have possibly found our big break:

    http://www.musicweek.com/story.asp?s...de=1039762&c=1

It's nothing concrete but the fact Muse was mentioned by one of the higher-ups is a small glimmer of hope.

Also Muse were nominated for a **** load of NME awards. They were nominated for: Best British Band, Best Live Band, Best Album (The Resistance), Best Live Event (Teignmouth). Matt Bellamy has also been nominated for Hero of the Year, Worst Dressed, and Hottest Man. Muse.mu have been nominated for Best Website and their Twitter account for best blog. The Resistance has been nominated for Best Artwork.

    Go vote for them now!

EDIT: Actually they neglected to mention Dom is also entered in the Hottest Male category and he's actually currently winning (with Matt currently at #2.)

I may have mentioned it before, but the more I listen to it, the more I want to be able to play "Futurism" in RB. It's definitely one of my favorite b-sides.

By the way, it might not be much but Muse being mentioned by name by the higher ups, might be a sign that they're hip to the high demand this thread holds for their music.

    Totally agree, love that song!

I find it quite impressive that he chooses to name drop Muse when he talks about the premium bundle

Honestly, Rock Band Network seems like the best solution to the lack of Muse problem. It seems that well known bands like Evanescence and Creed are using RBN to "jump the line" waiting to get released into Rock Band DLC. That way the band/label can release whatever they want whenever they can get it authored, and not worry about HMX's schedule.

Perhaps I'm over-simplifying matters, but that's how I understand it. The cost of producing a RBN song seems very low for a band like Muse, when there is a guarantee of solid sales. So it's a matter of weighing the RBN costs & royalties vs the standard DLC method.

All of this assumes, of course, that Guitar Hero has no exclusivity contract.

Don't read too much into it.

He was just saying that when bands release a deluxe edition of an album in the future, he hopes it becomes common for them to include a RB version of the album with it.

So, in the case of Muse, IF you got the super-deluxe edition of The Resistance, you would get the CD, DVD, Vinyl, USB AND a RB download.
May 20th, 2012: 4 long years since HMX released "Hysteria" by Muse. The wait for more Muse DLC has to end at some point, right?

I find it cool as well, but my hopes for Muse DLC are still low.
