this being a looong thread, maybe you guys stopped requesting Muse or something?

Either way, being 1245 pages. I'm sure Muse will get it's own game to please all of you.
Who ever predicted Green Day will get it's own game?
Well i say Muse probably will.

And if it doesn't, RB3's new DLC will probably be Muse.

If either of these don't happen, then...
Probably sucks to be a Muse fan with a huge thread and only have one song.

I'm on the borderline of optimist and pessimist.
I'd prefer a 12 pack. I don't think Muse deserve a full band game, but then again I'm opposed to full band games. I would much rather have genre-based games.

Let me put it this way:

If there isn't a Muse song in RB3, it would be a huge strategic mistake, period. The demand is clearly there, and whether after that Muse comes in the form of DLC singles, packs or even a full game, HMX and MTV need to make a statement (with RB3) that Muse is there.

I honestly don't see how Starlight would be the right choice, since if going solely by popularity and familiarity, Uprising and Resistance both fared better on the US and UK charts and both would arguably be (slightly) more suited for Rock Band.

And I enjoyed reading that Muse DLC/Marijuana legalization analogy, but I have an end-view quite different from that poster in that in both cases I don't let whiners influence reason. Yes, they are annoying, and should stop complaining all the time, but it doesn't change the fact that Muse DLC and legalization are both needed and overdue.

Considering the not so great sales of Green Day: Rock Band and the declining sales of rhythm games in general, I seriously doubt we'll be seeing a Muse: Rock Band game.

Anyway, I can't wait for tomorrow to see what awesome new tracks they have in store for us next week... *sees the Juanes announcement*... What the hell is this crap.

Having listened to it, I thought the Juanes track that will be in RB3 seemed like it will be pretty fun on guitar. If these tracks are anything along those lines then they should be quite fun.

On Topic: I'd like to see more Muse in RB, somehow.

What's really annoying is that on a game call RockBand, even Spongebob (decidedly not rock) has more songs than Muse. I mean seriously, what the hell is up with that?

But did you ever notice how annoying potheads can be? I work with teenagers, and a lot of them only want to talk about weed and how great it is. It's the be-all, end-all of their existence. They ascribe mythic qualities to it and ignore all the bad stuff.

It's much like the way Muse is genuflected about on these forums. I mean, sure, they're a good band. But they're not exactly the Beatles. And we already have one of their best songs, which is more than you can say for a lot of other great bands.

Back to my original point: Here in California, we have a proposition on the ballot this November that would legalize recreational marijuana use for those 21 and over. When I first heard about it, I was pleased, as it seemed like a legitimate blow for freedom over the traditional repressiveness of these often Puritanical United States. But as I began to hear from more and more dopers about how oppressed they were, and they were gonna, like, kill themselves if the measure didn't pass, I became less enthusiastic.

Which is the same way I feel about every week when the DLC is announced and it's not Muse, again, and everyone cries about it.

I'm still voting to legalize it, but if it goes down in flames (no pun intended), I'm going to take a perverse pleasure in the anguish of all the dopers who've placed such importance on it.

And if more Muse DLC comes out, I'll probably buy it, but there's part of me hoping it never does so that all the annoying Muse-heads never get their way.

Can you tell I'm on summer vacation?
Figures coming from a Giants fan No JK, I just wanted to make this joke

As for everyone complaining about Juanes, It tells me one thing. MTV is trying to cut into the European market of music games. This Spanish pack could lead to bands in the UK... like Muse! The day draws closer comrades, but if they release Muse before Rock Band 3, I will be really really pissed, and though I will buy it and play it happily, I will be disappointed they didn't add Keys and harmonies!
