After deleting a couple of disruptive posts, I'd like to post a friendly reminder that band request threads like this are exactly that: a thread where fans of a particular band come together to talk about and request said band.

If you don't like the band being requested, that's fine too, you're entitled to your opinion. But that doesn't mean you need to express it in this particular thread. If you really want to talk about why you don't like them, go open up a thread in History of Rock or Album Reviews and talk about your contrary opinion there. But do not go into a 'more Muse' thread and bash Muse, because that's completely counterproductive and pretty much trolling, and will lead to sanctions in the future.

Thank you for laying down the law, Lex.

Honestly, people coming in here saying they don't understand the hype or that they listened to some songs and don't "get it" is alright, because it opens to discussion of the band and their music.

But "trolls" coming in here saying "Muse sux", "lol, hope you never get DLC", and other stuff like that isn't cool.


This thread has sort of become a mini Muse sub-forum in the 2 and 1/2 years it's been open, and it would be a shame if it was closed.


I would also like to ask my fellow Muse fans to maybe pull back a bit in the larger RB community. Some of that unwanted animosity that we don't like is the result of our being so vocal. People want to hate on Muse because they're tired of hearing from the vocal Muse fan base on such a frequent basis. It has gotten to a point where people will mess with us in order to get a rise out of us and call us "pathetic fanboys" who "over-rate" Muse.


I apologize for the length of this post and I hope we can get back on track.
